Denis is a Partner at our law firm with more than 20 of considerable experience and concentration on the mining law also focusing on corporate, banking, contractual, antitrust, telecommunication and aviation law.
He has taken active part in the transactions on cross-border M&As, equity investment, project finance and security for a number of the major projects in Kyrgyzstan. Denis is also actively involved in the lawmaking initiatives within the foreign investor community.

EXPERIENCE
- Advised Morgan Stanley on bridge financing for the largest telecom operator in Kyrgyzstan, including full legal due diligence, drafting and amending the Loan Agreement, and preparation of corporate and security documentation
- Provided legal support to EBRD in multiple financing transactions with Kyrgyz banks and companies, including issuance of Legal Opinions, due diligence, and preparation of finance and security documents
- Advised EBRD on a revolving credit facility for Centerra Gold Inc.’s Kumtor Gold Mine project, one of the country’s largest mining operations, including review and amendment of loan documentation
- Due diligence and consulting services for PRC Oil & Gas company on acquisition of the oil field in the Kyrgyz Republic
- Due diligence and consulting services for Gold Fields in course of acquisition of a local copper/gold deposit
- Due diligence and consulting for European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in course of Revolving Credit Facility transaction with the local leading gold mine operator Centerra Gold
- Due diligence and consulting services for a PRC Company on acquisition for the second largest gold deposit in the Kyrgyz Republic

- Advising a British investment advisory firm in part of the legal status, formation, ownership and structure, management. Preparation of a a legal due diligence report on the local opco’s licenses and permits, material and finance agreements
- Legal services for a state-owned gold mining company with corporate restructuring of the largest country’s gold mining project. Involvement in negotiations with counterparts, reviewing of current project agreements and drafting of new transaction documents
