Yakub’s extensive experience includes advising project owners, contractors, financing parties and PMC contractors, enabling him to address various issues from different perspectives. Yakub has experience working with FIDIC Red, Yellow, Silver and Gold book. He regularly advises clients on major EPC contracts in Uzbekistan.
Along with transactional work, Yakub also advises on litigation and international arbitral disputes related to construction, energy transactions, project finance, etc.

- Advised a Chinese state construction company on EPC Contract (FIDIC Yellow Book 1999) for the construction of the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan and (FIDIC Red Book 2017) for the construction of 18.4 km municipal roads in New Tashkent
- Advising foreign international holding on EPC contract (FIDIC Silver Book 2017, reprinted 2022) for development of white cement plant in region
- Advised on the draft Law “On Participatory Construction”, and conducted a comprehensive analysis of the legislation. Provided legal support during negotiations on the draft law with ministries and other governmental bodies of Uzbekistan
- Advised on EPC+F Contract for the development of a waste-to-energy power plant
- A major industrial facility on EPCM contract, including legal advice on design, construction, supply and management of the client’s project. Bespoke contract based on FIDIC Silver Book
- An Uzbek mining company on EPC project for construction of an oxygen plant with the capacity of 60 thousand cubic meters of oxygen per hour
- Advising an Uzbek mining company on EPC project for construction of a lime plant which allows production of 2,200 tons of lime per day
- Advising an Uzbek mining company on construction of a vertical blind shaft of approx. 600 meters deep
