Centil Law Firm advised ODDO BHF SE on historic MIGA-covered trade loan in Central Asia.

Centil Law Firm acted as Uzbek law counsel to ODDO BHF SE in connection with its USD 50 million bilateral, MIGA-covered trade loan facility to JSC Microcreditbank. The facility supports trade financing in Uzbekistan by enabling on-lending for imports, with a best-efforts focus on MSMEs, women-owned businesses, and green products.

The team was led by Partners, Husniddin Ochildiyev and Khayrullo A. Abdullaev, together with Associate, Umida Adilova and Trainee Lawyer, Shokhrukh Tojiboev, and advised on all Uzbek law aspects of the transaction, including regulatory and corporate approvals and authorisations, Uzbek law enforceability considerations in respect of the English law-governed facility documentation, and the relevant registration procedures.

This transaction reflects the continued strengthening of Uzbekistan’s banking sector and the growing role of international financial institutions and guarantee structures in expanding access to trade finance.
